Next Generation Civic To Debut At NAIAS

December 14, 2010

Honda released a teaser sketch of the Civic Concept and has announced that it will be revealed at the upcoming North American International Auto Show (NAIAS) in Detroit. The sketch of the concept looks very aggressive, but as we know production vehicles seldom look exactly the same. The spy pictures we've seen only slightly resembles the sketch. The pictures are a camouflaged Civic coupe that has a more conservative design than the sketch and somewhat resembles the Chevrolet Cobalt coupe, but does keep the triangular shaped grille opening. They were also wearing similar wheels to the ones in the sketch. Since the spy photos have cues from the sketch, we believe the concept is pretty much the production vehicle.

Honda says that sales of the production vehicle will start Spring 2011. Honda will broadcast the press conference of the concept version of the ninth generation Civic live at http://www.hondanews.com/live2011naias .
