SAN FRANSISCO - After launching the Blackberry Torch, Research In Motion (RIM) is launching the Blackberry Playbook in response to Apple's iPad. RIM calls their tablet "professional grade," but in our opinion the Playbook name in our opinion reflects more of a consumer device than a professional device. The Blackberry Playbook is powered by 1 Ghz dual core processor and the Blackberry Tablet Operating System. Unlike the Apple iPad, the Playbook does have a camera. In fact, it has two HD cameras. A 3 megapixel front facing camera and a 5 megapixel camera on the rear. RIM says they'll start selling the Playbook in the US early 2011, and internationally the second quarter.
