Finally after months of speculation and rumor, Verizon has announced its version of the Apple iPhone4.
Verizon's iPhone is similar to AT&T's version except that it is compatible with their CDMA network.
"Verizon Wireless customers have told us they can't wait to get their hands on iPhone 4, and we think they are going to love it," said Tim Cook, Apple's chief operating officer. "We have enormous respect for the company Verizon has built and the loyalty they have earned from their customers."
One of the key new features for the Verizon iPhone 4 is a Personal Hotspot compatibility allowing five
Wi-Fi enabled devices to connect to the iPhone. This is important for the Apple iPhone to suceed.
Devices such as Motorola's Droid X on Verizon Wireless already have that feature. It also can be
used as a hotspot for five devices.
Verizon's Apple iPhone 4 will be available beginning Thursday, February 10 for $199.99 for the 16GB model and $299.99 for the 32GB model with a new two year contract.
