BARCELONA - HTC unveils six devices at the 2011 Mobile World Congress (MWC)
in Barcelona, Spain. HTC revealed five smartphones at MWC. Three of the five
smartphones were refreshed versions of exsisting smartphones. The other three
devices were the big annoucements for HTC.
The biggest announcement for HTC was their new Flyer Tablet. The HTC Flyer is an Android
powered tablet with a capactive 7" touchscreen display. (The Samsung Galaxy Tab
originally also came with a 7" display but a new 10" model debuted at the 2011 Mobile
World Congress.) A tablet isn't really big news. What seperates the Flyer from the Samsung
Galaxy Tab or the Motorola Xoom is that it has a stylus with highlight and erase buttons.
It's not just a plastic pointing device, but enhances the Flyer's experience.
